An African proverb states: “When a tree falls, we hear it. When a forest grows, all is quiet.”. The low-pile carpet Kimya - Swahili for silence - shines deeply in dark blue, and is made from Tibetan highland wool, fine Chinese silk and nettle fibers in equal proportions.

Walter Knoll carpets have been developed in collaboration with fabric designer Helmut Scheufele and are inspired by the landscapes and colors of Africa. The collection draws its strength from the creativity of the continent Africa which materializes into timeless, woven works of art.
